African Headwear
We have been looking at the different patterns and colours in African jewellery and headwear. We explained which jewellery we thought had been made in Africa. Can you guess?
Here are a couple of the Maasai headbands we made.

Exciting visitors!!!
We are all looking forward to Sam’s Safaris coming this week. Have a look on their website to see which animals might be visiting us!!
AFRICAN CLOTHING
We used some of the patterns from the African material we have been looking at to create our own African costumes. We framed our pictures using our shape printing from last week.
Here are just a couple to show you, but the rest will soon be on display in the classroom and corridor.
African Patterns
We have been using Purple Mash to create our own African patterns. We thought carefully about colour, shape and pattern. Here are just a few, but they were all fantastic. We have also printed patterns using 2D shapes and paint.
Hey you!
We have had great fun learning the pulse to our new song – Hey You!
Here are the words if you want to sing at home!
Happy Holidays
What a fantastic year we have had Class 1. Enjoy your summer holidays. I’ll be eating ice-cream and having fun at the water park with my family!!!
THANK YOU CLASS 1
Food Technology
Anyone for a fruit kebab?
Our pupils did a fantastic job of applying the skills they had been taught during their food technology lessons to show our visitors from George Pindar School how to make a fruit kebab.
They made sure everbody washed their hands and that their work station had all the equipment they needed. They showed different techniques for cutting their fruit safely and our visitors were particularly impressed with their way of halving strawberries!
