Good Afternoon Class 1,
Once again; thank you all for a wonderful week this week!
In English this week the children’s work has continued to be influenced by; The Way Back Home; completing our unit by writing a sequenced character description using all of the skills learnt over the course of the unit. Next week will see us start our new unit based upon the book Pumpkin Soup!
In Maths we continue to expand our knowledge of Place Value; investigating numbers (more and less than given numbers). It was great to see so many of you on Tuesday morning! In History we spent time delving further into the Titanic, even finding the time to explore the inside of the ship and place the key events on a timeline. In Geography we have investigated the weather and continued our experiments in Science. In PE we had a trip to the beach in dance to show how waves break on the shore.

Spelling
In school this week the children having been practising spelling using the ‘ee’ special friends. To support this learning, I have set up a game on PurpleMash for the children to play at home.
