Good Afternoon Class 1,
Wow! Another week down, time flies when you’re having fun!
I can’t believe it’s a week since I was posting about the children really enjoying their rugby sessions in PE. I must say a huge shout out for our attendance thus far this week, as I write this blog on Friday before school we currently sit at 100% attendance, fingers crossed that we see all children in class today and we will top the attendance leader board in school.
In maths we have continued our Place Value unit. We have explored 1 less, comparing groups by matching, fewer, more and the same, less then, greater than and equal to.
The children have absolutely blown me away in English this week. The children have spent time writing character descriptions independently using adjectives some of them even took their work to the next level and used ‘and’ to join sentences together.
In your child’s book bag I have popped in a copy of this week’s spelling list. Additionally, I have assigned a game on the PurpleMash platform (login details can be found in your child’s reading log). You can also see a copy of this week’s spellings below:
