Once upon a time…
We have had a wonderful last week of term.
We hope you have a magical Christmas and a lovely break.
See you all in 2021!
We had a great afternoon, meeting the animals, drinking hot chocolate, having ‘snowball’ fights, building and playing in dens and cooking potatoes and toasting marshmallows on the fire!
Class one have been very busy writing this week. We have been using adjectives to make our writing more interesting.
We wrote our own endings to ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’.
We then wrote a descriptive story about what it is like to wake up on Christmas morning. We used sounds and images to inspire our writing and thought about all of our senses to add more detail.
We have welcomed Jingle to our class this week, our very own cheeky elf!
Finding halves and quarters in Maths using cakes, shapes and objects!
We have been learning about what is on board a life raft and what items there are to help you survive at sea.
We also compared life rafts now to life boats years ago for example on the Titanic.
We put ourselves in the shoes of the passengers on the Titanic and gave them a voice.
This week we are finishing our learning about Grace Darling and beginning to talk about the Titanic.
This week in PE we did some under the sea dance. We were seaweed, turtles, dolphins and then whales!
We have really enjoyed continuing our learning of the RNLI this week and learnt about Grace Darling too.
